Karl R Bethea II is part motion designer, part hobby enthusiast. He currently works as an art director at CBS 17 News and is based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Whether bringing ideas to life in the office or working remotely, Karl thrives on collaboration and leading creative projects. With a strong foundation in 2D and 3D animation and a broad skill set including illustration, graphic design, typography, and sound design, he brings technical expertise and fresh creativity to every team.

When he’s off the clock, Karl is busy collecting hobbies like Pokémon cards. Crafting is his bread and butter: crocheting, screen printing, sewing, and embroidery are just a few favorites. When he’s not making something by hand, you’ll probably find him roller skating, playing volleyball, or diving into a game of pickleball.
